Your Appointment
You can book your appointment with our practice over the phone, or you can email us with your queries.
As appointments can be taken fairly fast, if you have any time or day limitations for your appointments, we strongly recommend to contact our practice directly by phone, in order to avoid delays caused by back and forth emails and to increase the chances of getting an appointment at a more convenient time for you.
Text reminders are always sent out once an appointment has been booked, so we ensure that the appointment’s date and time will not be missed. Please make sure that you have provided us with an up-to-date telephone number. You may not receive a text to remind you to book your appointment, as text reminders are only sent for already booked appointments, or for your 6/12 reminders.
Although we strive to ensure that text reminders are always sent out, they may occasionally be omitted due to software malfunction. Text reminders are only sent out as a courtesy. You are still responsible for keeping note of your appointment’s date and time.
Attendance and cancellations:
Please be advised that we have now introduced a Failed to Attend policy, in order to ensure that all surgery time is used for our patients and no appointments are wasted. Therefore, any patient who fails to attend their appointment without prior notice on more than one occasion, will be de-registered from our practice. Genuine reasons will, of course, be taken into consideration.
For failed private appointments, a charge of £1 per minute of missed appointment will apply.
We require a 24 hour notice for any cancellation of your appointments. This can be done either over the phone or via email. Regular short notice cancellations of less than 24 hours, and a poor attendance record may also result in your de-registration from our patient list.
In order to keep your registration as a NHS patient in the practice you will be required to attend at least once within a 2 year period. Failing to do so, may result in your de-registration from our NHS list. However, you will still be able to attend on a private basis, if you wish to do so.
