Porcelain dental veneers will give you the perfect smile while maintaining the integrity of your teeth.

Veneers

Dental veneers have become very popular during the last few years, as they can offer an impressive improvement of your smile with minimal preparation of your teeth. Pretty much like a false nail sitting on top of your own, dental veneers are practically very thin shells of porcelain that are fitted on top of your teeth after very minimal preparation of the outer surface.

They offer excellent results in cases such as:

  • Teeth discolouration or staining
  • Overcrowding
  • Spaces between teeth
  • Teeth with irregular shape

Dental veneers can also  give you the symmetrical and white smile you have always dreamed of, when all the other options are insufficient.

Benefits of veneers include:

  • Preservation of the tooth structure
  • Boost of self confidence
  • You can choose the shape and colour of your teeth
  • Alternative to braces for minor teeth misalignments

The process

After a thorough examination, where we will establish that dental veneers are indeed the best treatment for you, impressions and pictures of your mouth will be taken, in order to create a treatment plan and make a simulation that would give you an idea of what your teeth would look like after the veneers are fitted. After this is approved by both you and the dentist then the procedure can start. The dentist will minimally prepare your teeth under local anaesthetic and new impressions will be taken and sent to the lab, where your veneers will be fabricated. While we wait for your veneers to be back, you will be fitted with temporary restorations to protect your teeth.

Once your veneers have been prepared, we will call you back to the practice for a fitting appointment and you can leave with your brand-new veneers and your new smile! We’ll give you advice on how to take care of your veneers at home and answer any questions you might have moving forwards.
